Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Julija and I can’t tell you how grateful I am that the website and blog came to life. It is here that I will share with you juicy content on upper Soča valley, from magnificent mountain hikes to relaxing lush valleys, all based on my experience as a true local. If you would like to get to know me better, I also invite you to read some of the more personal posts.
First a bit about me. I am a happy Lepena-born and bred and although I’ve seen quite some amazing places of our wonderful planet, my favourite place remains Lepena, the gorgeous valley in Triglav National Park. Why? I adore green, crystal-clear waters and lush forests. Peace, starry nights and birds’ songs. No wonder that Nature is my ultimate source of creation.
Who am I? Translator by profession and my desire to connect with foreign cultures and languages led me abroad. I believe that life is energy. What makes me smile? At first sight simple creations, such as a vivid green leaf, charming, shy squirrel, bright butterfly, first and last sunbeam on a steep mountain face and shiny moon.
My head abounds with ideas, but if they only remain in the head, what’s the purpose? So this blog is a means to connect and share my monologues and inspiration with you. With those, who would find value in them and maybe encourage you to start with something new, as I started blogging. And of course, give you an idea for un unforgettable hike or stroll, get closer to Nature or simply make your day brighter.
